Our School Patrols are available at the pedestrian crossings at Queens Ave. E to help our children & adults cross safely.
Patrols will be out on duty on days school is in session at the following times. They will be at their crossings for approximately 10-15 minutes.
8:40 am, 11:35 am, 12:35 pm and 3:30 pm
When the weather is colder than –27°C, the patrols will not be on duty and ask all students to cross with care & caution.
We ask you to please remind your child about respecting our patrols and the very important job they do.
We would also like to thank you in advance for any encouraging words you offer our patrols as they are a dedicated bunch of kids who do a great job for our school. The Police Constable who has been assigned to our school requires that all parents also use the Patrols to cross the street.
School safety patrols play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students within their educational institutions. These dedicated student volunteers, help manage traffic flow and guide their peers safely to and from school, preventing accidents and fostering a culture of responsibility and vigilance. Beyond their immediate safety impact, school safety patrols also instill valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and a sense of civic duty, promoting a safer school environment and nurturing responsible, caring individuals who are more likely to contribute positively to their communities as they grow into adulthood.
