COVID-19 School Community Notification King George School

KingGeorge

On October 9, 2021, we received notification from Manitoba public health officials of two confirmed cases of COVID-19 who were in attendance at King George School on October 6, 2021 in the Grade 1/2 CR Classroom and in the Grade 4/5 S Classroom, when the individuals may have been infectious.

We have now received an update from Manitoba public health officials that the two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in King George School were in attendance on October 6th and October 7th, 2021 in the Grade 1/2 CR Classroom and in the Grade 4/5 S Classroom, when the individuals may have been infectious.

The infections are not believed to be acquired at school.

If you have not been contacted by the school stating your child is a potential close contact and a public health official has not contacted you, your child has not been identified as being exposed to COVID-19 from this case. If your child has not been identified as a close contact, public health officials still recommend that you closely monitor your child for symptoms of COVID-19.

Brandon School Division will continue to work closely with Public Health and Manitoba Education during this pandemic.
